Terms of Use

Ibogaine is a potentially illegal substance, and we do not encourage or condone its use where it is against the law. However, we recognise that illegal drug use occurs and believe it is imperative to provide responsible harm reduction information to ensure people’s safety. For this reason, this guide is designed to ensure the safety of those who decide to use the substance. We do not encourage the use of this drug outside of a legal or traditional context.

Ibogaine used in the wrong hands, with people taking unwanted medications and who have pre-existing health and/or mental health issues, could cause fatal reactions.
If you are considering taking ibogaine, it is strongly recommended that you visit an ibogaine clinic under medical supervision.

Ibogaine is a psychoactive compound found in several different plants, most commonly in Tabernathe iboga, which is found in certain parts of Africa. It has been used primarily by certain people in certain regions of West Africa for thousands of years, where it has been/is used for its medicinal and psychoactive properties. In the modern world, ibogaine is gradually becoming popular as an effective treatment for addiction and withdrawal symptoms. It has been used as a means of helping people addicted to substances such as opioids, cocaine, amphetamines and alcohol.

Over the years, hundreds of treatment centres have sprung up, offering addicts a chance to recover through natural treatment. Iboga Achat is based in Cameroon, where conventional and traditional medicine work side by side. In 1979, a traditional medicine unit was created within the Ministry of Health. In 1981, Law No. 81/12 of 27 November 1981 was enacted. In 1981, a Traditional Medicine Unit was set up at the Central Hospital in Yaoundé, followed in 1989 by the creation of a Community Health and Traditional Medicine Service with a Unit in charge of Traditional Medicine.

The sector was revitalised in 1990 by Law No. 90/053 of 19 December 1990 on freedom of association, as it led to the creation of several associations of traditional healers throughout the country.

Ibogaine may well be an addiction breaker, but it is not a panacea. It is also important to bear in mind that ibogaine is dangerous if not administered properly. Before deciding to undergo ibogaine treatment, your health must be assessed by a licensed doctor. Heart problems, liver problems or low blood pressure are contraindications.

We advise you not to do the treatment yourself, to ALWAYS have sober and professional people by your side, people you trust completely, who know the product and can take care of you, so that you are safe at all times, and who can determine when your experience is over.
